Michigan Samoyed Rescue has been in existence for over nine years. We are dedicated to the protection and betterment of our beloved breed:

1. To aide owners of purebred Samoyeds with questions and problems about their dog through counseling, education and support, in hope of keeping the dog with its family;
2. To aide owners of purebred Samoyeds in the recovery of their animal when lost, strayed or stolen;
3. To attempt to place stray or abandoned purebred Samoyeds and mixed Samoyeds in homes that will provide a high level of love and care.
4. To provide information and materials on the breed, responsible dog ownership and picking a responsible breeder
5. To on rare occasion, accept direct "owner surrender." This is done only after every effort is made to keep the dog in the home. This process is done only on room available in the rescue and with complete information on the dog, including vet records. No financial compensation will be made for the surrender.

The Michigan Samoyed Rescue is completely dependent on volunteers and donations/adoption fees. The more help we can gather,the more dogs we can save. We have an urgent need for volunteers, especially foster homes. We could also use transporters and people to do home visits. Working with these magnificent creatures is truly the best reward. Unconditional love is written on a check that will never bounce. And if you ask anyone involved in rescue of any kind, rescue animals will recognize your efforts and compensate accordingly!
